The Origin of VinFinitti
My name is Seweryn Slaski, and the story behind VinFinitti is deeply connected to my life and my family.
I grew up in a home where sign language was part of everyday life. My parents are deaf, so communication in our family looked different from what most people experience. Because of them, I learned from an early age that true communication does not begin with words, it begins with understanding another human being.
At the same time, throughout my life, I witnessed how many simple everyday situations became unnecessarily difficult for deaf individuals.
- A doctor’s appointment.
- A conversation at a government office.
- Handling everyday matters.
- Even a simple conversation with another person.
Too often, an invisible barrier appeared between people — misunderstanding, the constant need to ask others for help, the loss of privacy, and the feeling of dependence on the surrounding world.
Over
time,
I
kept
asking
myself
one
question:
How is it possible that we live in a world filled with advanced technology and artificial intelligence, while so many people still struggle with something as basic as communication?
And it was from this very need that VinFinitti was born.
A project created to build technology that allows deaf and non-speaking individuals to communicate naturally, independently, and without intermediaries. Technology that does not simply translate language, but helps restore comfort, independence, dignity, and confidence in everyday life.
For me, VinFinitti is not just a business project.
It is something deeply personal.
It is the result of experiences, emotions, and years of observing a world where too many people still feel excluded from conversations, relationships, and everyday life simply because they communicate differently.
I believe technology should bring people together, not create new barriers.
And that is exactly why VinFinitti was created.
